Our Board

 As a foster parent, Barry and his wife have opened their home—and their hearts—to children who have experienced the painful realities of abuse. Through this deeply personal journey, they witnessed firsthand the many forms of child abuse that often goes unnoticed. This eye-opening experience inspired Barry to take action beyond his home.

Now semi-retired, Barry saw an opportunity to put both his and his wife’s Jeeps to greater use than just weekend drives. Fueled by a desire to educate others about the warning signs of child abuse, he connected with Families Flourish ND, the North Dakota chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America. After meeting with their Executive Director, it became clear that awareness and education were desperately needed- and that the Jeep community could play a powerful role in spreading that message.

From that realization, Jeeps Against Child Abuse was born.

Barry brings a broad and practical background to his leadership. With a career that spans construction and over 30 years of experience in the computer industry, he also made time to be a dedicated father—coaching his son’s baseball team and supporting his daughter in softball and cheerleading. Like many, Barry once believed that child abuse always came with visible signs, like bruises. It wasn’t until he and his wife became foster parents that he truly understood the hidden and varied nature of abuse- emotional, verbal, neglect, and more.

Today, Barry is committed to raising awareness that child abuse often hides in plain sight—and that as a community, we all have a role to play in protecting children. Through Jeep events, educational outreach, and community involvement, Jeeps Against Child Abuse is not only building awareness, but building a movement. And along the way in this journey the Jeep Club can provide a family-oriented group to have fun.

Barry is proud to lead this mission—one mile, one message, and one Jeep at a time. 

 Jeni serves as Treasurer for Jeeps Against Child Abuse, bringing a wealth of experience in organizational leadership, people management, and operational efficiency to the team. As an HR Director in a post-acute rehab hospital, Jeni has spent her career advocating for employee well-being, mental health awareness, and effective communication across diverse workforces.

A strong advocate for mental abuse prevention and education, Jeni understands the lasting impact that emotional trauma can have on both children and adults. Her professional background in Human Resources, paired with a passion for supporting vulnerable populations, aligns seamlessly with the mission of Jeeps Against Child Abuse. Her insight into behavioral health, employee relations, and process management are instrumental in ensuring the organization remains financially sound, accountable, and strategically focused.

With a career that has spanned healthcare, HR consulting, project management, manufacturing, and construction, Jeni is known for her ability to manage complex projects and build meaningful connections at every level of an organization. She brings a meticulous and mission-driven approach to her role as Treasurer, ensuring every decision supports the goal of spreading awareness and protecting children from abuse.

Outside of her professional work, Jeni resides in Fargo, ND with her husband, Adam, and their two children, Kingston and Oaklynn. Her commitment to advocacy, leadership, and community outreach makes her an invaluable part of the Jeeps Against Child Abuse team. 

 Rhonda serves as Secretary for Jeeps Against Child Abuse, bringing a strong background in small business administrative organization, and people management. Her experience in coordinating schedules, managing operations, and supporting team efficiency plays a key role in keeping the mission of the organization moving forward with clarity and structure.

A resident of McClusky, North Dakota, Rhonda lives close to her mother, whom she helps care for; reflecting her deep-rooted values of compassion, service, and family. She currently works at The Window Source of Bismarck, where she continues to demonstrate her commitment to excellence in customer service and organizational support.

Rhonda is passionate about the mission of Jeeps Against Child Abuse and is dedicated to using her skills to ensure that every meeting, event, and effort remains focused on spreading awareness and protecting children from abuse. She is proud to be part of a team that combines purpose with community- and believes that together, we can help make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children across North Dakota and beyond.
